"It Begins With Porn, and It Ends With Porn."
This week's release of the latest version of the extraordinary open-source, $1 billion-valued, controversially led Stable Diffusion is a must-have in AI art. It's also a nonstop porn creation machine.
“I’m not too concerned about AI insurrection nuclear holocaust but actually pretty concerned that the only things any given incel needs to generate deepfake porn or gore are Stable Diffusion and a decent GPU,” one Twitter writes. “Gonna be a bad internet.”
“All the photorealistic Stable Diffusion models started with HassanBlend first which was a model trained on porn,” an AI influencer explains. “Then it became PurePornMerged, a lot of porn models merged together. Then people realized these porn models were great photorealism…and they changed their names.”
“Stable Diffusion stated with porn,” another user states the ouroboros lifecycle quite perfectly.
“It also ends with porn.”
A few days ago with the release of SDXL 1.0, the newest model set the Internet aflame with extraordinary photorealistic image creation abilities, a detailed refiner and the ability to create text.
Who is the man behind it? How does it work and how can you best understand it? What is it trained on? (Besides porn?) And, how can you find out if it has trained on any of your art and photos?
I will show you all of that—and more.
