A Brief Hiatus While I Get My Business Up and Running and Before Then: An AI That Can Control Your Desktop and Access/Run Anything Online
Making that part of the headline in case someone scrolls during the next two months and wonders, "Why can't I subscribe?" Payments will be paused until Nov. 17 when I shall return with a flourish :)
I’ve been playing around all day with this new top-rated GitHub repo AI tool that effectively allows you to bring ChatGPT into your desktop—and with unlimited Web access and package installations.
And oh my goodness! It is so incredible. “Organize all of my screenshots into one folder.” “Turn this text file into an audiobook.” “Summarize this lengthy PDF that was too long to upload directly into ChatGPT.”
If Code Interpreter blew your mind, this is like Code Interpreter except without limitations and with access to your desktop if you grant it. Don’t worry—there’s a way to do a sandboxed run of it with a Google Colab as well.
But before I tell you all about it (including how I was able to get it to run a web-scraping program and then use Google Text to Speech to almost instantly create an audiobook) some brief business: At some point tomorrow I’m going to pause payments on this Substack and then resume publishing again Nov. 17 so that I can finally get the yougotthis.ai marketplace up and running. So last chance if you want to subscribe in order to have full, amazing access to years worth of writing while I’m on a temporary hiatus.
And to all of my prized and beloved paid subscribers, I ADORE YOU. And you won’t be charged in the interim and I’ll be back to business soon. I can’t wait to share with you the realization of my own AI entrepreneurial dreams brought to life.
But for now—let’s talk about this cool new tool!
