Born in London in 2007 where she lived until the age of 7, the self-described “upper middle class” atheist teen—Bojack Horseman is her favorite TV show—uploaded her very first video on YouTube that she shot on her phone at the age of 13 in 2021. This was pre-braces, and she looked a little bit like Sean Lennon’s kid if Sean Lennon were to have a kid. (Of course, she is quick to point out, she’s not “mixed” even though she gets told that a lot.) She’s soft-spoken, loves Nirvana and easily lambasts anyone dumb enough to describe her favorite YouTuber—who “raised her”—PewDiePie as a “white supremacist.” Along with her charmingly dorky friends and a very handsome cat, she’s not so much the American dream (she has in fact called out dishonest U.S. coverage of her home country of Kazakhstan) but she is very much the YouTube one.
